About The Radiator

WOMM-LP "The Radiator" is a noncommercial low power FM radio station located in downtown Burlington. The station began broadcasting with 100 watts in the autumn of 2007 on the frequency of 105.9 FM. The Radiator serves the surrounding community by creating locally oriented programming, filling the void left by regional and national networks whose markets are too broad to permit this social and geographic focus.

About Queen City Social Club

Queen City Social Club was started by a couple of Radiator DJs as a way to produce Radiator-sponsored events and get people in the community together creatively. The idea for a "social club" came after repeated listens to the Buena Vista Social Club record. Social clubs existed in cities around the Caribbean as a spot for musicians to get together and play and for people to just come party. The Queen City Social Club is meant to do the same in our humble burg--it is you, your friends and a bunch of people you don't know yet.
