The second installment of Burlington Record Club is tomorrow and coincides with Record Store Day! The local forecast is calling for rain straight through the weekend making Saturday a perfect day to pick up some new wax at one of the record shops in town and then come spin it at Radio Bean with us. Click here to check out the full list of special releases and reissues that are coming out on Record Store Day.
Don't know about you guys, but I have my eye on that Happy Birthday 7" out on Sub Pop. From their website:
Two brand-new and exclusive tracks for Record Store Day 2010 from Kyle “King Tuff” Thomas’ Happy Birthday. Both of these tracks, like those of Happy Birthday’s self-titled March 2010 debut album, were recorded and mixed at Kyle’s home studio. Available March 16th: Happy Birthday’s Happy Birthday SP850 CD/LP.
Side A: “Shampoo”
Side B: “Alien”
Also looking forward to some sweet reissues/releases from Wilco, Drive By Truckers, Fucked Up, Joe Strummer and LCD Soundsystem!
Details below if this is your first time...
